Derry GP Dr Tom Black is new chairman of the GPC in Northern Ireland.
Northern Ireland GPC chairman Dr Black is the only member nominated for the position. He will officially take on his new role at the Northern Ireland GPC meeting on 28 September, replacing the current chairman, Dr Brian Dunn.
Budget cuts in Northern Ireland, possible pension changes and prescribing will be on the agenda at the upcoming meeting. �
The new deputy chairman will be elected on the day of the meeting.
