Rock on: Theme songs for 2012 hopefuls

Politicians like to find just the right theme song to fit their message -- Bill Clinton, for example, memorably made Fleetwood Mac's "Don't Stop [Thinking About Tomorrow]" into a rallying cry, eventually even working it into his speeches. Sometimes a candidate's efforts are less successful: When Tom Petty found out that Michele Bachmann was using his "American Girl," he promptly told her to stop.

Many of the 2012 presidential candidates chose their personal theme songs earlier this month. But why should such an important decision be left to them? Here at Hotsheet we figured we could work with you to come up with theme songs that captured the candidates' essences better than what they came up with. Check out our nominees below and vote for your favorite -- and feel free to offer up your own ideas in the comments.
